⏱ī¸ Timing & Modes

TriviaFlow supports two distinct ways to run a quiz session. You can switch between these modes in the Game Configuration or when creating a session.

1. Manual Mode (Game Master) đŸ•šī¸â€‹

Best for: Live Events, Classrooms, Pub Quizzes

In this mode, YOU are in control. The game pauses after every step and waits for your command.

Flow

  1. Lobby: Players join. You click "Start Game".
  2. Question: Question appears. Timer runs down.
  3. Results: Correct answer is shown. Game Pauses.
    • Host can discuss the answer, make jokes, etc.
  4. Leaderboard: You click "Next" to show scores.
  5. Next Question: You click "Next" to proceed.

2. Auto-Pilot Mode 🤖

Best for: Kiosks, Automated Challenges, Background Entertainment

The system runs itself based on pre-configured timers.

Flow

  1. Lobby: Timer starts counting down as soon as the first player joins (if configured).
  2. Question: Standard timer.
  3. Breaks: System waits for AUTO_QUESTION_DELAY seconds, then automatically moves to the next question.
