💡 Core Concepts

TriviaFlow is a real-time system. Unlike a standard website, everything happens instantly across all devices.

The Holy Trinity

A typical game session involves three types of screens:

1. The Lobby (Projector/TV) 📺

  • Where: On the big screen in the front of the room.
  • Who sees it: Everyone.
  • Function:
    • Shows the Join Code and QR Code.
    • Displays the Question Text and Media (Images).
    • Shows the Timer counting down.
    • Reveals the Leaderboard between rounds.
    • Note: This view is passive. You don't interact with it directly.

2. The Gamemaster (Dashboard) 📱

  • Where: On the Host's smartphone or tablet.
  • Who sees it: Only you (The Host).
  • Function:
    • Remote Control: Start questions, show results, move to next.
    • Moderation: See who joins, kick offensive names.
    • Insights: See how many players answered correctly in real-time.

3. The Player (Controller) 📱

  • Where: On each participant's smartphone.
  • Who sees it: The players.
  • Function:
    • Login: Enter Nickname.
    • Game: 4 large buttons (A, B, C, D) to answer.
    • Feedback: Green screen (Correct) or Red screen (Wrong).
