TriviaFlow is a real-time system. Unlike a standard website, everything happens instantly across all devices.
The Holy Trinity
A typical game session involves three types of screens:
1. The Lobby (Projector/TV) 📺
- Where: On the big screen in the front of the room.
- Who sees it: Everyone.
- Function:
- Shows the Join Code and QR Code.
- Displays the Question Text and Media (Images).
- Shows the Timer counting down.
- Reveals the Leaderboard between rounds.
- Note: This view is passive. You don't interact with it directly.
2. The Gamemaster (Dashboard) 📱
- Where: On the Host's smartphone or tablet.
- Who sees it: Only you (The Host).
- Function:
- Remote Control: Start questions, show results, move to next.
- Moderation: See who joins, kick offensive names.
- Insights: See how many players answered correctly in real-time.
3. The Player (Controller) 📱
- Where: On each participant's smartphone.
- Who sees it: The players.
- Function:
- Login: Enter Nickname.
- Game: 4 large buttons (A, B, C, D) to answer.
- Feedback: Green screen (Correct) or Red screen (Wrong).
The Flow
- Lobby waits for players.
- Gamemaster clicks "Start Game".
- Lobby shows "Question 1". Player phones show buttons.
- Timer runs out OR everyone answers.
- Lobby shows correct answer. Player phones show result.
- Gamemaster clicks "Next" -> Leaderboard.
