Gamemaster Dashboard

The Game Master (GM) Dashboard is the remote control for your game. It allows you to control the flow, manage players, and ensure everything runs smoothly.

🔐 Accessing the Dashboard

To access the dashboard, you must be logged in as a Superuser or Staff member.

1. Via Lobby: When you start a session in the Lobby View, a special "Gamemaster" QR code (or link) is often displayed.
2. Direct Link: Navigate to /gamemaster on your server (e.g., https://quiz.your-domain.com/gamemaster).

Authentication Required

You cannot access this page without being logged in to the Admin Panel. If you scan the QR code without being logged in, you will be redirected to the login page first.

📱 Interface Overview

The interface is optimized for mobile devices so you can walk around the room while hosting.

1. The Header (Session Info)

• Room Code: Verify players are in the right game.
• Active Players: Shows the current count of connected devices.
• Menu: Access additional settings or end the session.

2. Main Control Area

This area changes depending on the state of the game:

• Waiting Phase: Shows a "Start Game" button.
• Question Phase:
  • Question Text: Read this out loud if you want to be a TV host!
  • Correct Answer: Visible to you but hidden from players until the reveal.
  • Timer Control: You can Pause or Add +10s to the timer if players need more time.
• Result Phase:
  • Next Question: Advances to the next slide.
  • Show Leaderboard: Manually trigger the leaderboard display on the big screen.

3. Player Management

Scroll down to see the list of active players.

• Kick/Ban: Tap on a player's name to remove them from the game. Useful for removing inappropriate names or inactive players.
• Score Adjustment: You can manually award bonus points (if configured).

⚡ Controls Reference

Button	Function
Start / Resume	Starts the countdown timer for the current question.
Stop	Instantly ends the question early (all answers locked).
Reveal	Shows the correct answer on the Lobby screen.
Next	Moves to the next question in the playlist.
Terminate	Ends the entire session and disconnects all players.
